Since Eliza has been so into her play mat and the few toys she does have, her Memaw (Davids mom Bernadette) decided that she needed some new toys to look at...so she got her a little fish mobile that plays classical music and ocean sounds. It is so cute and Eliza looooves it! We also got out a little crib-side mirror with an elephant on top that she got as a shower gift. When she looks at it she gets all excited...she feels like she has a new friend!!! The most adorable thing I've ever seen and heard! She will lay in her bassinet forever just talking and squealing with delight. Every time we try to lay her in her bassinet to fall asleep...forget it...she is instantly wide awake, excited and ready to play again! But I love it....atleast she is happy=) We also brought out a little bear attached to a silky blanket and she instantly grabbed it...I dont think she really gets the concept of grabbing something she wants, its more like she just grabs onto anything close to her, but it was precious. Everything is so precious right now...I just want to freeze time for about...18 years!! Also looking forward to getting pics back from the "photo shoot" with Angie Forsgren, who took mine and Davids engagement pics and some at the wedding, my mom had set up on Friday when she baby sat...so hopefully we will get those back soon=)

Sitting up like a big girl in her "bumbo"

Our baby is almost 3 months old!! on sat!! She has grown sooo much! aside from just being a little roly-poly, she is DOING so so much! She is absolutely the best baby in the world!! And im not being partial at all...lol. Here are a few things that our lil pumpkin is doing now...

• SHE SLEEPS THROUGH THE NIGHT!!! HALLELUJAH!! This phenomenon started about 2 weeks ago=)


• She "talks" like crazy...if this is a sign of how she is going to be...she is going to talk our ears off! And I cant WAIT! That is the CUTEST noise i've ever heard...she is trying so hard to laugh too!


• She holds herself up on her arms while on her stomach and holds her head up looking all around, and....


• She rolls over!! (from stomach to back)She also will end up completely turned around and sideways from where we lay her


• She sits up in her little "bumbo" chair...she has a really strong neck


• She wants to stand up when you hold her facing you in your lap...she also has very strong legs


• She weighs 12lbs...as of last week


• She is the smiliest baby...she will smile at almost anything!

I am just loving being a mom...and seriously she makes it so easy...knock on wood...but she is such a sweet, easy baby. I just get to enjoy her all day. My favorite time of day is in the morning, she usually wakes up around 7 to eat and afterwards she will just talk to me and goo and smile...she is def. a morning person. I just love sharing those special moments with her.And I love watching her with David...he is such a good daddy. She just loves him!

This past Sunday we blessed Eliza at church. It was such a special day...Grandma Kathy made her blessing dress out of the left over material from my wedding dress...and all of my family and David's (here in Texas) were here. After church everyone came over to the Philipbar house and enjoyed a nice lunch and eachother...it turned out perfectly...and the weather was beautiful!!! It was so neat to have so many of the people that love Eliza there to witness such a special event...we love our family so much and are so blessed to have so much love and support!

The beggining....

Hello family and friends! I have wanted to start a blog for a while, but have been really hesitant because of how bad I am at keeping up with things like this....but I love the idea of being able to keep all of our friends and loved ones updated a little better than on facebook. So here goes!...
On March 14, 2009 I married the tall dark and handsome man of my dreams, David Philipbar. We were sealed for Time and all Eternity in the Dallas Texas Temple. We lived with my folks in Keller Texas until just recently...March 13, 2010 ironically enough. Our biggest blessing has been welcoming our beautiful baby girl Eliza Elysse Philipbar, born February 20, 2010....such a huge, but incredible change in our lives.
So right now we live with Davids parents about 45 mins. from my parents, in the country. Which has been a little bit of a culture shock, but it is beautiful and peaceful and we have really enjoyed it so far. We originally moved out here because David was going to be attending Air Traffic Control School, but plans have changed, and he decided he really wants to continue his education. So he is working and will be starting back up at the Community college in Tarrant county in the next few weeks.
We are really blessed with the situation we are in right now, staying with family so that finances arent so strained and I can stay home with our little bundle of joy. Our plan is to try and move back to Tarrant county and into our own place by the fall. It has been such an amazing experience to be new parents. Each day Eliza grows and changes soooo much!! Its just incredible...speaking of the little bundle...it sounds like she is awake now. So stand by for more updates!
